NCERT (National Council of Educational Research & Training) has announced the exam schedule for NTSE exam 2015-16.
Dates for Submission of Application & conduct of examination are given below:

Eligibility: All the students of X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear in NTSE Stage 1. No domicile required.
Students registered under Open School Learning are also eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years as on 1st July also student is not employed.
Exam Pattern:
Stage 1: Will comprise of two Parts : (A) Mental Ability – MAT, (B) Language Test , (C) Scholastic Aptitude Test – SAT
Stage 2: Paper 1 MAT (50 questions) , Paper 2 Language test (English/Hindi)(50 questions), Paper 3 SAT (100 questions)
Note: At Stage 2 there will be negative marking in each paper. For each negative answer 1/3 mark will be deducted.

Fee: State/UT may notify the fee required, which will be paid for the NTSE Stage I Exam. NCERT does not charge any fee NTSE stage 2.
Indian students staying abroad: Appear directly in stage 2.
Last date to submit the form: 28th Feb 2016
