National Talent Search Examination is a national-level scholarship program to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent. It is one of the most prestigious exams in India. This year NCERT conducted the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage I on November 5, 2017. NTSE-2018 stage II will be conducted on May 13, 2018.
National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) for students studying in class 10th is meant to identify talented students and nurture them. The examination is conducted every year at two levels Stage –I (State Level) and Stage-II (National Level). The first stage is conducted by states and the second stage is conducted by NCERT. The students who have cleared the Stage-I from the respective state are only eligible to appear in the NTSE Stage-II.

Modification in NTSE Stage-II Examination-2018
All the candidates are hereby informed that as per the decision of review committee of NTS Examination there will be modification in the Stage-II examination, to be conducted on May 13, 2018 with respect to number of papers, number of questions, areas to be tested, and time of testing and practice of negative marking.
There will be two exams in Stage –II.
1. Mental Ability Test (MAT)-This exam consist 100 questions and will be of 100 marks. Time duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. Timings of the exam are 9:30 to 11:30 AM (All candidates except visually challenged candidate) and 9:30 to 12:00 AM (Only visually challenged candidates).
2. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) -This will consist 100 questions (Scince-40, Mathematics-20, Social Science-40) and will be of 100 marks. Time duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. Timings of the exam are 1:30 to 03:30 PM (All candidates except visually challenged candidate) and 1:30 to 04:00 PM (Only visually challenged candidates).

Note:

No negative marking in both the papers.
Only Candidates qualifying in both the papers separately will be considered for merit,
Selection of the awardee will be made on the basis of total marks scored in MAT & SAT based on merit.
There will be not any paper on language test.
Reporting time is 9:00 AM.
Admit cards will be auto generated.
