The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national-level scholarship program (Exam) for students studying in Class X.
State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Chandigarh
has released the application form for NTSE 2022 Stage 1. The Last date to submit the application form is 10th November 2021. Students can download the application form at www://scertchd.edu.in or collect it from the office of the Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Sector 32-C, UT Chandigarh.
Chandigarh NTSE 2021-22 stage 1 exam will be held on 16th January 2022. At the same time, SCERT will announce the result in April 2022.
Twenty selected students from the Stage-1 examination will appear in the stage-2 examination conducted by NCERT, Delhi, on 12th June 2022 (Sunday).
Eligibility for NTSE Chandigarh Exam
Scored grade B2 and above or 61% and above marks in Class IX examination (in the academic session 2020-21) and has been promoted to class X (in the academic session 2021-22). 5% relaxation in marks for students in SC and PH Category.
Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for the scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July of the particular year), the student is not employed and she/he is appearing in class X examination for the first time.
Scholarships
On the basis of National Talent Search Examination, 2000 scholarships will be awarded. The amount of scholarship will be as under:
a) Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month for Class –XI to XII.
b) Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates.
c) Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.
